I have not invested in a Ninja creami yet as I really do not like cottage cheese and am not an ice cream person anyway! However, I know many of you have come to enjoy your Ninja Creami’s and Bart has a great tiramisu inspired creami recipe to share!
For 1 Ninja Creami pint:
- 1 tbsp mascarpone cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup semi-skimmed milk
- 1/2 tbsp espresso
- 1/2 tsp unsweetened cacao powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
For mix-in:
- 1 ladyfinger cookie soaked in espresso
———
Put all ingredients in a blender and whisk until it is all mixed. Pour into a Ninja Creami pint and freeze for 24 hours.
Ice cream mode.
Then add the ladyfinger crumbs using the mix-in function.
Enjoy!
Thank you, Bart! For more from Bart who has been recovering from CFS/ME and multiple other health issues consistent with the LEA, please see his guest article here!
I have not been writing as many Substacks lately but plan to get back to them soon - especially to finish my series on Dr. Gilbert Ling’s “In Search of the Physical Basis of Life”! My current focus has been to restore my structure (took a huge hit during the years I was in a LEA) and get stronger. I have been on about an eight-month very slow bulk and I currently have no desire to stop, as my progress in the gym, zest for life, reading the great books, etc. continue to compound. In the mean time, Tyler and I have had some great discussions over on his Recommended Daily Value podcast.
Identifying the Low Energy Availability State - based on my 4 LEA Substack!
I also post random thoughts on Twitter and share what I find interesting on my Instagram stories every so often.
Please comment if there are any general topics you would like me to cover on Substack!
I do find it amazing how quickly the “cultural zeitgeist” swings from extremes and I want to remind everyone that the body functions on dynamic equilibriums and ratios - one could argue the mind does as well!
I do not respond to individual DMs as I receive so many daily and my focus is on my family, current 1-1s, and Transform! I apologize for any inconvenience. I am not taking on new 1-1s at this time, if you are looking to work with someone 1-1 please consider contacting Tyler!
I'd love for you to share more about what you love to eat- what does a day of food look like for kathleen? how have you been able to hit RDA's- what areas needed extra fine tuning for you, any challenges or hurdles you're proud to have crossed over? I'd love to hear more about your personal food journey and details about what you love to eat and maybe a few recipes you've found to be staples in your kitchen. Deets! Thank you!
I would also be interested to your thoughts about inflammatory conditions (spondylitis etc) and whether coming out of an LEA, food choices, other biophysics could be applied for improvement/resolution
